If you are a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old, and live in North Dakota, you have the right to vote! Anyone who has lived in North Dakota for 30 days prior to Election Day can vote.

Voting by Mail

The Secretary of State’s office has an online platform that will help you generate an application for an absentee ballot. You can access that using the button below. Alternatively, you can fill out the form as an editable PDF - also linked below.

You must print, sign and deliver the absentee application to the appropriate election official. If you submit an application requesting an absentee ballot, you may receive and return your ballot by mail.
